Rev. Shadrack Muiruri Kamau

Rev. Shadrack Muiruri Kamau is a pastor and ministry leader associated with the establishment and growth of Redeemed Gospel Church Subukia. He currently serves as a Subregional Overseer within Redeemed Gospel Church.

Early Life & Education

Rev. Shadrack was born in 1975 in Nyahururu Town and was raised in Nyahururu Scheme. Coming from a family of five children, he was raised by God-fearing parents who introduced him to church from an early age.

He began his education at Igwamiti Primary School before completing his primary education at Ol-Jororok Primary School. He later completed his secondary education at Ndururi Secondary School in Nyahururu Town.

Following this, he pursued a Certificate in the Hospitality Industry in Nairobi and worked as a car salesman in the city. Following his calling into ministry, he joined Eldoret Bible College and pursued a Bachelor's degree in Theology.

Faith and Calling

Receiving Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour in 1991, his ministry journey developed through service in different areas of church life, including youth leadership and Home Bible Church ministry.

In 1997, he received a calling from God to plant a church in Subukia. He waited until 1999, when the ministry began taking shape through a Home Bible Church.

Establishment of RGC Subukia & Ministry Journey

Rev. Shadrack began serving as the leader of the Home Bible Church that formed the foundation of what would become Redeemed Gospel Church Subukia. The congregation began in 1999 as a Home Bible Church, with Rev. Shadrack serving as its HBC leader. In 2001, the congregation became a full Redeemed Gospel Church branch.

When the Home Bible Church became a branch of Redeemed Gospel Church Inc., Rev. Shadrack was ordained by ArchBishop Dr. Arthur Kitonga as a Junior Pastor. Over the years, he continued to serve in different leadership capacities within the church and the wider Redeemed Gospel Church family.

His ministry journey progressed through several stages of leadership and ordination. ArchBishop Dr. Arthur Kitonga later ordained him as a Reverend.

In 2024, Rev. Shadrack Muiruri Kamau and Pastor Salome Muiruri were consecrated and installed to service in a formal church ceremony. This marked another significant stage in their ministry journey and service within the Redeemed Gospel Church family.

Community Outreach & Evangelism

Together with Pastor Salome and the wider church ministry, Rev. Shadrack has been involved in community initiatives supporting people in difficult circumstances, including food donations and assistance with shelter.

The church also takes ministry beyond its walls through sharing God's Word in schools and holding evangelistic crusades multiple times throughout the year.
