Pastor Salome Muiruri

Pastor Salome Muiruri is a pastor and ministry leader at Redeemed Gospel Church Subukia. Her ministry has included teaching God's Word, counselling, encouragement, women's ministry, family ministry, youth support, and community outreach.

Early Life & Education

Born in Nyahururu and raised in Nyandarua by a single mother, Pastor Salome comes from a family of seven children, where she is the fifth child and the second and last daughter.

Her childhood responsibilities helped shape her perspective on service, perseverance, and supporting others.

She attended Kianjata Primary School and Gatimu Secondary School, and later on pursued her higher education at Kenya Methodist University (KEMU), where she studied for a Bachelor of Business Administration, specializing in Finance and Accounting.

She is also a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPAK) and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).

Faith and Ministry Journey

Taken to church from an early age, Pastor Salome was born again in 1993. She experienced a sense of calling to ministry during her youth.

Before becoming part of the pastoral ministry at RGC Subukia, she attended a Redeemed Gospel Church branch in Nyandarua.

In 2002, she married Rev. Shadrack Muiruri Kamau, and her journey alongside him became a core part of her wider pastoral ministry.

Ministry Focus & Community Outreach

At RGC Subukia, Pastor Salome contributes to the spiritual growth of members through teaching, counselling, and pastoral support.

She has played an active role in establishing and nurturing the women's ministry through seminars and fellowship. She also maintains a close connection with young people and families.

Beyond the church walls, she is involved in community outreach, supporting people facing hardship with food donations and encouragement, and sharing God's Word in local schools.

She also visits RGC Munanda and RGC Shamanei as part of the church's wider ministry and church-planting work.

Challenges & Vision

While the church's journey has included challenges such as financial limitations and periods with fewer available workers, Pastor Salome's vision remains focused on seeing members of the church grow spiritually and personally and seeing the congregation develop in its service to God and the community.
